FACES511: A unique art exhibition by Javon Conaway
On May 11, 2018, Javon Conaway presented his first solo exhibition in New York City. The exhibition featured over 35 original paintings by Conaway and a pop-up shop launching his street-infused and artistic apparel line in an unconventional space lended to him by Mondo Mannequins New York. Conaway and team transformed Mondo's showroom into a beautiful gallery and pop-up shop that presented guests an innovative art exhibition unlike any other. The themes of the exhibition focused on human displacement, cultural empowerment, emotional fulfillment and self-hope.
The event partnered art, fashion and music surpassing all expectations in turn out and success. Complementing the vibe, sponsors included companies such as Lambda Vodka, Harmless Harvest Coconut Water, The Blacksmith NYC, Zagara Wine Bar, Doughnut Plant, Middle Eats NYC and music curated by Brooklyn based DJ & producer, shxlton.
